Here are a few simple ways to boost your sites Alexa ranks. These are easy and free methods, which can help your rankings, a lot.
1) Install Alexa toolbar on your computer, you can also install the Mozila plugin for Alexa. The Mozila Firefox toolbar for Alexa is also available and is absolutely recommended.
2) Use the re-direct, http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.surfsieve.com just use your website in place of the surfsieve and see the difference in your rankings.
3) Give a link from your site to your Alexa traffic details page, in our case this is surf sieve traffic details. http://alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=www.surfsieve.com
4) Make an Alexa widget and put it on your website or blog, this will take your visitors to Alexa.
5) Make sure your visitors install Alexa toolbar, actively promote Alexa toolbar and ask your visitors to install the toolbar or Mozila search status plugin.
6) Submit your website to Alexa directories. There are a few Alexa directories, search for them, even on our website Surf Sieve we are planning to put up a directory, but that will take time. Anyways, these Alexa directories have a lot of visitors who use Alexa toolbar, so don’t skip this step.
7) Write articles on manipulating Alexa ranks for improving Alexa ranks, people who come by searching these terms are interested to improve there Alexa ranks, so you get traffic from people who have Alexa toolbar installed in there browsers.
8). Advertise on webmaster sites, blogs or forums. You can also post a lot in webmaster forums and then add a link in your signature. Webmasters usually use this Alexa toolbar so if your site or a part of it is popular in webmaster communities, then your Alexa rank will sure come down. 10) Use Alexa auto-surf, our site is an Alexa auto surf. Our members has to install the Alexa toolbar before the surfing starts. This way every hit is an Alexa hit. Other auto surf websites don’t have this system, but then on most of those auto surfs, surfers usually have the Alexa toolbar installed, so auto surfs are a must try.
11) Submit to the top web directories, here is a list of strongest web directories, most of the webmaster traffic comes from these directories.
12) Buy blog posts in webmaster blogs, buy links, target the webmaster audience.
13) Dedicate a part of your website for Alexa and webmasters. Write articles and blog about webmaster and Alexa ranks.
14) Post comments on blogs like this.
15) Go to public cyber cafes and install the Alexa toolbar, then browse your site and while you leave the café make sure you have set the homepage to your website so that you can still get a few hits after you leave. Try to pay a few cyber café owners to install the Alexa toolbar and set your site as there homepage, also ask them to browse there site sometime when the systems are idle.
